The Wren in Vail Colorado - Reviews from renters

Just wanted you to know what a terrific time I had while staying at the
Wren! It is such a cute place, very clean and very nicely furnished.
Loved the gas fireplace. I went to the Tuesday night social hour and
met a couple of folks. When my little nephews visited, they enjoyed the
game room with the box of toys.

We were so fortunate to get snow practically every day of the vacation
which amounted to over one foot accumulation of powder snow. I took an
instructor from the base of Golden Peak to do some cross country skiing.
We hiked in various areas of Vail Pass and with all the new snow it was
gorgeous.

Thanks for the tip for getting a discount card at the City Market. That
really helped. The folks at the Wren were indeed very helpful for
catching buses and other information. The notable places we ate at
included Piazzas Pizza, Blu's, and Red Lion. I ventured out a few
evenings to Pepi's to hear Rod Powell, a guitar player and another night
to Club Chelsea to hear some fantastic jazz piano.

Never was in a hot pool before. What a wonderful thing! Gladly made
use of it.

Everything was all so very nice, convenient and always too short as
vacations go. I am so glad to have located your web site to make this
trip a reality for myself. Thanks again to you and the folks at the
Wren for the really nice hospitality. May consider doing this again in
the future.

I found the Wren on the net. Hey, I'm a business guy, so what matters to
me is Quality, Cost, and Time. As for Quality, there was not a single
negative: the room was perfect and neat. It had a beautiful fireplace,
balcony and mountain view, fully-equipped kitchen, comfy living area and a
bedroom--it was all very accommodating--it even had a huge counterspace in
the bathrooms to lay out all bathroom essentials, and we loved the outdoor
heated pool and two outdoor hottubs. And the Wren has a new, large
shuttle, and the driver was always on schedule so it made it easy to get to
and from the mountain. By the way the staff at the Wren was always
friendly and helpful, and there was maid service twice during the week
which was appreciated. They've got about 100 videos you can choose from
(at a dirt cheap price), a billiard room and lounge on site, and a
wine/cheese welcome party on Tuesday at 4pm. As for Cost, Craig Carty
offered me a very attractive price--what a guy! And as for Time, it took
only a few emails and one phone call to rent a condo from Craig--he was
great to work with. Of course, we had a glorious time there--it snowed 6
of 7 days and the skiing was terrific; and Vail is the greatest for apres
ski activity and dining. I rate my experience with Craig and the Wren: 4

Hi Craig,

I was going to call you as I wanted to thank you in person, but I have yet
to get home at a reasonable hour.

The accommodations were wonderful. Not only was the condo comfortable and
well kept, it was also tastefully furnished and decorated which enhanced our
stay there. Both of the hot tubs and the pool were a pleasure to use (we've
stayed in other places at Vail where the water temperature was not warm
enough to be enjoyable). The staff was pleasant and helpful and the shuttle
van to and from Golden Peak was right on time each day. In fact, on the
fresh powder days (we had 3), by riding the Golden Peak chair and then the
Northwoods chair, we beat our friends who stayed at the Tivoli and who used
the Vista Bahn and Mountain Top Express to get to the top. Not only did we
walk a shorter distance to the base lift, but more importantly we got "first
tracks".

Unless my circumstances change, I hope to rent from you again next year for
the same week, which would be Jan 11 - Jan 18, 2003.

The week in Vail was awesome. The ski conditions were the best I have ever seen in my life. The unit at the Wren that you suggested was perfect for us. It was cozy, the help was incredible and all of the food that I pre- ordered was sitting in the refrigerator when I arrived. Thank you for all of the information that you supplied, it really made my vacation very easy.

There were a few things we loved about the Wren...

1. We emailed them a grocery list before we left NYC and when we arrived everything was in the fridge!

2. Door to lift van service in time for first chair.

3. Spacious apartment... loved the fireplace in the living room.

I am happy to tell you that Kim and I had a wonderful time staying at your
condo in the Wren during our visit to Vail during the 2001 ski season.
Kim's family has been going to Vail for 20 years, and she tells me that
staying at the Wren is not only very comfortable, with wonderful views of
the slopes and all the amenities we needed, but also very convenient to the
center of Vail either by a short walk or on the Wren's courtesy shuttle.

Working with you on the rental was a breeze. The unit was nicely decorated
and updated...we enjoyed spending time there on the balcony overlooking the
creek and up the mountain at all the snow!

We have recommended your service and website to just about everyone we know,
and will continue to do so in the future.

I hope that we are contacting you again in the near future for another stay
at the Wren!
